Joie De Vivre!

After 2 long years I am back doing what I love best. I actually didn't know how much I appreciated my line of work until I started creating looks again. This time I feel I am even more invested, giving not just a piece BUT a big chunk of myself in each work that I do. I now style for engagement/pre-nup shoots.

Unlike fashion styling,  there is the getting to know you stage that must happen in the beginning. It goes beyond just what sizes fit and what styles look best. It has to touch the character of the individual and the chemistry of the couple. Are they the serious type? Adventurous? Kalog?

You have to become involved in their story and enraptured in that cocoon of love that your couple share. It is truly such a beautiful and fulfilling experience! I cannot even begin to explain the joy I feel when we wrap up a shoot and the couple is happy with my work! I have become part of their most important day!

I actually didn't plan on ridding this love train. However fate and faith have done its part quite well. The 1st half of 2013 has been so eventful for me and made even more special by the fact that friends are starting to get hitched! (Finally I am not the only one in the group!) It just started as something fun to do. Being a stylist I cannot even imagine not doing this for my closest friends. So I did. And good thing I did.

My first official shoot under La Belle Fete!
Working with this young couple Precious and Mark was such a breeze!
More on this soon!

Our relative, the ever brilliant and amazing Ycoy Sitchon of La Belle Fete Events spotted my work that I did for my friend and I guess you can say the rest is history! I am now part of their group, working the Styling Department aptly coined as Joie de Vivre! The Joy of life, an exuberant enjoyment of life. I feel that this is also fitting for me. I have embraced this direction that I have taken and I am overjoyed. As the saying goes, "Choose a job you love, and you never have to work a day in your life."
